HEAVY DUTY STEEL INDUSTRIAL FLOOR GRATING

This type of grating is used as industrial flooring where heavy static or rolling loads are encountered including heavy vehicular truck traffic up to H-20 loading. Slip resistant flooring surfaces are available. Calculations for vehicular loadings are based on AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges.

Heavy Duty Welded Steel Grating

Welded carbon heavy duty steel grating is the most popular choice where high strength flooring is the primary grating requirement. This product meets the demanding vehicle loading requirements of AASHTO and is geared to handle heavy rolling loads over floor grating.

Wheels n’ Heels® Heavy Duty Steel Grating

Wheels n’ Heels is the first industrial flooring product which satisfies both the vehicle loading requirements of AASHTO and the pedestrian comfort requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Made from 3/8" or 1/4" thick ASTM A36 steel bar, this product will clear span up to 8' under H15 and H20 wheel loads and can be provided in piece sizes up to 3' wide by 20' long. In addition, the close spacing of the bearing bars offers a pedestrian friendly 1/4" or 1/2" opening which allows easy access to wheelchair and high heel traffic.

Heavy Duty Riveted Steel Grating

This industrial flooring is reliable and durable. Bearing bars are connected with a reticuline bar to form a truss-like grid which is best suited to handle the high impact and lateral forces encountered in bridge deck flooring applications. Riveted grating is widely used in areas which experience the dynamics of partially distributed wheel loadings. Because of its light weight and simple installation as compared to other surfaces, metal riveted bar grating permits resurfacing to handle heavier flooring loads without the need for expensive sub-structure work.

LIGHT DUTY STEEL INDUSTRIAL FLOOR GRATING

Light duty steel flooring is the workhorse of the industrial flooring market, finding applications in conveyor systems, operating plants, highways and bridge platforms, walkways, machinery floors, refineries, tank stairways and power plants. The open grid construction of steel grating provides maximum passage for light, air circulation and drainage, while offering low installation and maintenance costs.

We offer a wide selection of light duty steel flooring. As a stocking, fabricating distributor of electroforge welded steel flooring, we inventory a wide variety of sizes and spacings for shipment in panel form or for fabrication.

We also manufacture and fabricate Dove Tail pressure locked flooring, Riveted Steel flooring and Swaged Carbon and Stainless Steel flooring. They offer smoother lines and a more pleasing appearance than the typical welded floor grating. These flooring types may be more appropriate than welded grating for some applications.

STAINLESS STEEL INDUSTRIAL FLOOR GRATING

Our swaging process allows the assembly of industrial flooring panels by mechanically locking the cross bars at right angles to the bearing bars. This process provides the clean crisp lines of a recessed cross bar and eliminates the discoloration inherent with welded bar grating. Our Stainless Steel flooring is manufactured free of the warping, twisting and burn marks which are characteristic of electro forge welded stainless steel flooring. Swaged flooring allows for a variety of spacings including close spacings of 7/16" cc between bearing bars which have been approved by the Americans With Disabilities Act.

Stainless Steel grating has been the standard industrial flooring product for severe corrosive environments and has been a popular flooring choice for many years. We manufacture stainless flooring from type 304 stainless steel bar. Special finishes are also available. Our Stainless Steel flooring is used at chemical plants, food processing facilities, oil & gas producers, metal & mining facilities, pulp & paper plants and is also used in many other commercial and architectural industrial flooring applications.
