Frames create clean edges and accurate openings so your grating installs square, secure and flush. Whether you’re protecting concrete or supporting open flooring, our frames are built for precision, durability and straightforward installation—matched to aluminum, carbon and stainless steel grating.
All Frame Type Features:
- Designed to embed in concrete and support grating systems
- Available in long lengths with prefabricated corners for field installation
- Can be fabricated with mitered, welded corners for a precise fit and finish
- Provide a stable, uniform bearing surface for grating products
- Engineered for concrete floors and substructures
- Provide a permanent shield for slab edges—reducing cracking and chipping
- Welded construction keeps openings accurate and simplifies formwork
- Uniform bearing surface helps eliminate rocking or uneven elevations
Available as four‑sided, one‑piece frames or individual pieces for flexible installation
Aluminum Embed Frames
- Extruded aluminum for lightweight strength and corrosion resistance
- Continuous ledge supports plank fasteners, grating clamps or self‑tapping screws
- Continuous anchor may be used alone or with universal anchor straps
- Powder-coated finish provides isolation from direct contact with concrete
- Ideal where non‑ferrous materials or elevated corrosion resistance are required
Note: Grating clamps are applicable to the aluminum embed frame; they are generally not used with carbon steel frames.
Carbon & Stainless Steel Embed Frames
- Engineered for concrete floors and substructures
- Finishes: Mill, hot‑dip galvanized (carbon steel only) and powder coating.
- Equipped with 3/8” × 4” headed concrete stud anchors, welded within 6” of each corner and max 24” o.c.
- Use welded or bolted fasteners per project requirements; grating clamps are not typical for steel frames
