Phase 2

High Line Park

New York City, NY

In order to create a more connected, healthy community, we partnered with non-profits in New York City to enhance High Line Park—Manhattan’s elevated rail line-turned greenway. In order to fulfill the vision for this unique elevated park, our team crafted heavy-duty stainless steel grating that created a “see-through” look while remaining ADA Compliant and high-heel friendly. By making slight alterations to our products, we created a grating strong enough to support maintenance vehicles while achieving 68% transparency underfoot to allow park visitors to view plants and park features below.

Big River

Crossing

Memphis, TN

The Big River Crossing is the country's longest active bridge for rail, bicycles, and pedestrians. This mile-long engineering feat provides residents new opportunities for recreation and fitness with a stunning view. In partnership with the City of Memphis, OGI provided a combined 124,000 square feet of materials to construct the walkway deck, fence and handrails to make this Mississippi river crossing a reality.

ALGRIP® is a patented CNC laser process that welds thousands of rugged, custom alloy laser deposits to base metal for slip resistance in all directions. In addition, ALGRIP® traction features meet or exceed OSHA and ADA requirements for slip resistance in wet or dry conditions.

Make your project pedestrian-friendly and vehicle safe with our family of Grater Access® products. We offer a full suite of grating that conforms to the spacing requirements of the ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities and are offered in both aluminum and steel. In addition, we offer a variety of spacing options so you can have the right open area, water drainage, or airflow requirements you need while remaining accessible to pedestrians, wheelchairs, strollers, bicycles or high heels.

Wheels n’ Heels® is the first grating product to satisfy vehicle loading requirements of AASHTO while also meeting ADA comfort requirements. Aesthetically pleasing and bicycle and high-heel friendly, we offer two types of Wheels n’ Heels® products: Metro® and InVent®. Our Metro® line boasts increased spacing between grates. InVent® offers the same features as Metro® with the added benefit of having the main support bearing bars run perpendicular to top surface bars and hidden underneath for greater design flexibility.

A slip-resistant surface is recommended to meet ADA guidelines.
